- How do I use Matrix?
Start by creating an identity. You can click here
to get started. Once you have created your identity you will be taken to a page
where you will be presented with a link to add to your favorites. Add that link
to your favorites (or you can right click here Plug me in! and add it to your favorites
from here). All you now have to do is to go any web site from any browser window
and once you reach that web site, click on the "Plug Me In" link from your favorites.
That's it! In case you lose your favorites at any time you can right click here
-> Plug me in! and add this to your favorites or click on the
My Links button on the top.

- Can I use Matrix on different PCs?
Of course you can! All you have to do is visit www.matrixconnects.com and click
on the button marked "My Link" on the top. You will be taken to the same
page where you ended up when you created your id. Add the Plug Me In link to your
favorites again and you are ready to be plugged in! Or as an alternative right click
-> Plug me in! and select Add to Favorites (or add
to bookmarks).

- Can I see the nodes which are being used in Matrix?
Yes you can! Go to Top Nodes page by clicking on
the "Top Nodes" button at the top. There you will be able to see the most
popular top 20 nodes within Matrix. By default all the nodes are visible at any
time even if there is no one in those nodes at that moment. If you select the option
"Fetch Only Active Nodes" you will be able to see only those nodes (if
any) where there are people chatting at that moment. When you select the option
to Fetch All Nodes, the currently active nodes(the nodes where people are talking
at that time) have a value of ‘Y’ in the "Is Active Current"
column on the page.

- Can I be an invisible or private member?
Matrix is all about getting connected. We do not believe in hiding. There is no
option yet to be invisible.

- Can I add users I like to a Buddy list?
Coming soon! In the next version of Matrix you would be able to add people to your
friend lists. Once they approve your request you can then find them no matter where
they are in the Matrix as long as they are plugged in.

- Can I chat in different web sites at once?
Duh! But of course! Open up as many browsers as you like and navigate to any web
site. Once at that web site simply click the Plug Me Inlink from your browser's
favorites or bookmarks.

- What is this "timeout error" that I keep getting?
By default if you haven't posted a message in the node in the last 12 minutes Matrix
assumes that you have left and removes you from the node. In case you want to log
in into the same node again, simply hit F5 button on your keyboard!

- I think Matrix is slow, or doesn't work.
Normally this happens because the site you used to plug in into the Matrix is eating
your browser's resources. The best way to check this is to post a message in the
node and see how long does it take for the message to be displayed in the chat box.
If the message doesn't come back in more than 10 seconds hit F5
once and when Matrix logs you in the node again, use the first button on the tool
box. This button looks like the image here
. This button would open your original site in
a new browser and would expand the matrix controls on your current browser.

- Guide to Toolbox buttons and smileys?

This button would open your original site in a new browser and would expand the
matrix controls on your current browser.

This button opens up a guide to the smileys. To use a smiley, enter the text as
is given against that smiley. For e.g. to send a message like this to the room:
I can dance like this
type:
I can dance like this [ham] since [ham] is the code for this image.
This button plugs you out of Matrix and takes you back to the original site which
you used to enter the Matrix.
